What does a session actually look like?
Sessions run weekly. Each session opens with a 5-minute challenge, moves through two structured activities with a facilitator, and closes with a reflection question. We don't do passive lectures — students are building or solving from the first minute.
Do students need their own computer?
Tier 1: no device required. Tier 2: any device with a browser. Tier 3: a laptop is strongly recommended — a Chromebook works for most weeks, but some sessions (Flask, local Python) benefit from a real OS.
Is Tier 3 really at the University of Waterloo?
Yes. Tier 3 sessions are held in the Physics Building at the University of Waterloo, Saturdays 1–3:30 pm starting October 31. We're not affiliated with the University of Waterloo; we use their space to host our program, and sessions are led by Algorhythm facilitators. University students sometimes join build sessions as volunteer mentors and help with code review.
How do I register?
